Questions parents ask

Is wrestling safe?
Every sport carries some risk of injury, and wrestling is no different. We lower that risk by teaching proper technique, pairing kids by size and experience, and running every practice with safety first.
How do you handle injuries?
All of our coaches are CPR and First Aid certified. Head Coach Isaac Halliday is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy and can assess injuries, including concussions, if they happen.
Does my child need experience?
No. We welcome all levels, including kids who have never wrestled.
Can girls join?
Absolutely. Girls wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Wrestling is for everyone.
What should my kid wear?
Gym shorts and a T-shirt. Wrestling shoes are highly recommended but not required to get started.
What if we can't afford it?
We want every kid who wants to try wrestling to have the chance. Text or email Coach Isaac and we'll make accommodations.
What if my child is shy or nervous?
That's completely normal. Come to the first couple of practices and see how it goes. Text or email Coach Isaac first so he can get your child on the roster.
Do you have a weight-cutting policy?
This is a non-competitive club. We don't use weight classes, and we don't promote cutting weight.
Can parents watch practice?
Yes. We'd love for you to watch your kids learn and grow. If a parent gets in the way of learning or creates a safety concern, we'll ask them to step out.

To make changes, not excuses.

To excel, not compete.

I choose self-esteem, not self-pity.

I choose to listen to my inner self, not the random opinions of others.
